Do I need a credit card to register?

No. You can register now and subscribe when you are ready.

Why am I signed out when I come back to the portal?

To protect your data, we always sign you out if you leave the page. You can stay signed in by selecting “Keep me signed in”.

Can I sign out?

Yes. Once you sign in, there is a “Sign Out” button at the top of the portal.

What are the tabs on the portal for?

The “Subscriptions” tab lists available subscriptions and the status of your current subscriptions. The “Instances” tab lists information about your subscribed cloud instances. 

I’ve just purchased a subscription but it is not listed in the portal?

If you’ve purchased a subscription within the last 30 minutes this is because we are awaiting final notification that the purchase has been processed successfully. Click the orange HELP button on the right side of the page if you need further assistance.

How can I change my password?

Sign in and select the “Profile” tab on the portal. Enter your new password in both password fields and click “Save Account Changes”.

What do the actions do?

The “Power On” action automatically provisions your cloud machine. “Connect” will setup your platform and launch your IDE. “Power Off” will shutdown your cloud machine.

Will I lose my project workspaces if I “Power off”?

No. These are stored on persistent storage disk(D:). Do not create workspaces on any other disk as these are not persistent.

Why does “Power On” and “Connect” take a few minutes to finish?

This usually happens when the environment is being provisioned for the first time or restarted. Subsequent access to your platform will take just a few seconds.

Why do some instances need to be restarted?

This will not happen during regular use. However, at other times, we are automatically managing machine resources to provide a cost-effective service. Dedicated instances will be available at a later date.

How do I reconnect?

Sign back in to the portal and click “Connect”.

What is the password to connect to my instance?

This is the same as your password for signing in to the portal.
